Jim Hester is an Associate Portfolio Manager on the Multi-Asset Strategies Team for Schwab Asset Management. He primarily supports the daily portfolio management functions of the Schwab Trust Bank Collective Investment Trust products including target date funds and asset class-specific multi-manager funds. His responsibilities include implementation, risk management, performance monitoring, and trade analysis.

Prior to his current role, he was a performance analyst supporting Schwab Asset Management. Before that, he was an investment analyst at First Affirmative Financial Network. From 2008 to 2017, Mr. Hester was a performance analyst at Virtus Investment Partners.

Mr. Hester earned a Master of Business Administration in investment management and corporate finance from the University of Georgia, and Bachelor of Administration in psychology from the University of North Carolina. He is a CFA^® charterholder.
