Jonathan Liu is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Schwab Asset Management. Mr. Liu leads the team responsible for managing and designing scalable investment processes to deliver personalized direct indexing solutions.

Prior to joining Schwab in 2021, Mr. Liu spent 14 years focused on direct indexing at Aperio Group, LLC (subsequently acquired by BlackRock). Most recently, he served as VP, lead portfolio manager, responsible for a team of portfolio managers while working with ultra-high net worth clients. He began his career at Aperio in operations as a portfolio accountant.

Mr. Liu earned a Bachelor of Science in financial services and corporate finance from San Francisco State University. He is a CFA^® charterholder.
