Mathew Petty is a Portfolio Manager for Schwab Asset Management. He is a member of the Windhaven^® Strategies Portfolio Management and Schwab Managed Portfolios^™ - ETFs Portfolio Management teams. Mr. Petty is responsible for market and macroeconomic research and development of tactical allocation signals within the multi-asset macro research group. He is also responsible for asset allocation and ETF implementation, including analysis on positioning, exposures, and characteristics of ETFs in the portfolios.

Prior to starting this role, Mr. Petty was a senior market analyst for Schwab Center for Financial Research, where he produced in-depth analysis and commentary on the economy and markets for clients. Prior to that he held multiple positions at Wasatch Global Investors, most recently as a senior equity analyst responsible for covering international and emerging market stocks.

Mr. Petty earned a Bachelor of Arts in international management and management information systems from Central College. He is a CFA^® charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Colorado.
