Matt Hastings is a Managing Director and Head of Bond Index Strategies for Schwab Asset Management. Mr. Hastings leads the portfolio management team for the Schwab Taxable Bond Mutual Funds and Schwab Fixed-Income ETFs. He also has overall responsibility for all aspects of the management of the funds.

Prior to joining Schwab in 1999, Mr. Hastings was in fixed income sales and trading at Lehman Brothers. He has worked in the fixed income securities industry since 1996.

Mr. Hastings earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of San Diego. He is a CFA^® charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
