Rick Holland is a Managing Director and Head Investment Portfolio Strategist supporting the Schwab Money Funds and Liquidity Management at Schwab. Mr. Holland leads the team responsible for market communications and relationship development with clients and key partners for money market funds and other cash solutions. His role includes providing education on liquidity management, the money fund investment management and credit research processes, as well as on any relevant legal and regulatory activities.
 
Mr. Holland has nearly 40 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. Holland was a vice president/regional director and corporate treasury strategist at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA). Prior to SSgA, Mr. Holland served as senior vice president and director of short-term strategies for Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management in New York. He has also held senior level positions at Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Holland was a founding member of the institutional investment management firm Undiscovered Managers, LLC and former president of the San Francisco Treasury Management Association. Mr. Holland is also a member of the Money Market Fund Advisory Council and Money Market Working Group at the Investment Company Institute, and a frequent speaker at industry events.
 
Mr. Holland earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with concentrations in economics and marketing from the Plattsburgh School of Business and Economics. He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 licenses.
